DESCRIPTION: GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are used to join SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of PET tape, use without the splice tool and clip. Each piece has 10 embossed dots on either side to help align with the carrier tape. Three kinds of anti-static, half anti-static and non anti-static.

Detailed Instructions for Use

1. Cutting the Carrier Tapes: Use the designated cutting tool (GSMTL20/GSMTL30/GSMTL40) to accurately cut the carrier tapes. Precision in cutting ensures a perfect fit and alignment.

2. Preparing the Splice Tape: Remove the release liner of the splice tape to expose the adhesive side. This step is crucial for ensuring a secure bond between the tapes.

3. Aligning the Carrier Tapes: Align the cut carrier tapes (cover tape down) with the placement guide provided.

4. Joining the Carrier Tapes: Place both ends of the joining carrier tapes onto the first strip of the splice tape. Ensure that they are aligned correctly to avoid any misfeeds.

5. Securing the Splice: Fold over the second strip of the splice tape to the underside of the carrier tape and press firmly. This ensures a secure and stable splice.

6. Finalizing the Splice: Remove and discard the clear plastic cover and guide to complete the splice. The tapes are now joined securely and ready for use in the assembly process.
