PET Sharp Angle SMT Double Splice Tape Universal GSM01 Series

GSM01 Series SMT PET Sharp Angle Double Splice Tape Universal

GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are designed for joining SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut PET tape strips, these tapes can be used without requiring a splice tool and clip. Each piece features 10 embossed dots on either side for precise alignment with the carrier tape. Available in three variants: anti-static, half anti-static, and non anti-static.

Instructions for Using GSM01 Series Double Splice Tapes

Use the Cutting Tool to Accurately Cut the Carrier Tapes: Begin with a cutting tool (GSMTL20, GSMTL30, or GSMTL40) to make clean, precise cuts on the carrier tapes.
Remove the Release Liner of the Splice Tape: Expose the adhesive side by removing the release liner from the splice tape.
Align the Cut Carrier Tapes with the Placement Guide: Position the cut carrier tapes (cover tape facing down) with the placement guide on the splice tape.
Place Both Joining Carrier Tapes onto the First Strip of the Splice Tape: Carefully align and place both carrier tapes onto the first strip of splice tape, ensuring proper adhesive contact.
Fold Over the Second Strip to the Underside of the Carrier Tape: Secure the connection by folding the second strip to the underside and pressing firmly for a strong bond.
Remove and Discard the Clear Plastic Cover and Guide: Complete the splice by removing the clear plastic cover, making it ready for SMT production.
