YAMAHA YSM10/20R mounters enable Wilmar to increase productivity and efficiency

The YSM10/20R mounter eliminates the line change process and increases production capacity by 30%. As a leading manufacturer of low-volume electronic products, in order to reduce the line-changing process and improve efficiency, the company has added six YSM series mounting machines at its Shajing manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, including the YSM platform with a large number of feeder stations, which has increased production capacity by 30%. Package three YSM10s and three YSM20Rs and integrate them into the existing production line. The YSM10/20R mounter has multiple 8mm feeder stations, enabling it to handle a wide range of products at the same time, supporting components ranging in size from 01005 to 150 sq. mm and 25 mm in height, including press-in, connectors, microBGA, bare chips, package overlays and plug-ins. Because the YSM series has more feeder stations, it greatly reduces the significant line change process and makes the production process more smooth. YANG, the engineering manager at Wilsonville, said. "This is a considerable advantage for our highly mixed production lines, as well as the flexibility of YSM to share processes on upstream and downstream platforms, balancing the workload of each line and increasing production by 30%."
