Wistron plans to purchase land in Vietnam for up to $37.1 million to expand production capacity

Wistron continues to strengthen its overseas layout, and recently passed a number of overseas investment cases, including improving the Texas plant in the United States to strengthen customer service, purchasing land and building staff dormitories in Vietnam, and investing in India to build a factory, with four investments of up to $98.6 million.

The details are as follows:

United States - Texas Plant Improvement: SMS Infocomm Corporation (WTX), a subsidiary of Wistron in the United States, plans to spend $25 million to improve buildings in Texas in response to the development of its after-sales service business.
Vietnam - Production Capacity Expansion: In response to business development and strategic planning needs, Wistron InfoComm (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (WVN), a subsidiary of Wistron, plans to acquire approximately 37.1 hectares of industrial land from Jinbang Industrial Development Investment and Construction Company within a quota not exceeding VND 964.6 billion (approximately US $37.1 million) to expand production capacity in Vietnam.
Vietnam - Staff Dormitories: Wistron's 100% owned subsidiary in Vietnam, Wistron Property (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. (WPVN), is building staff dormitories for $16.5 million (about NT $540 million).
India - Factory Construction: In order to meet the needs of plant construction funds, Wistron intends to acquire ICT Service Management Solutions (India) Private through its subsidiary SMS InfoComm (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (WSSG) Limited (WIN) increased capital by $20 million to expand capacity in India.
