PET Double SMT Splice Tape 8mm 12mm 16mm 24mm 32mm GSM01 Series
GSM01 Series SMT PET Double Splice Tape 8mm-32mm
GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are designed for joining SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of PET tape, these tapes can be used without requiring a splice tool and clip. Each piece features 10 embossed dots on either side to facilitate precise alignment with the carrier tape. Available in three variants: anti-static, half anti-static, and non anti-static.
Detailed Instructions for Use
  • Cutting the Carrier Tapes: Use the designated cutting tool (GSMTL20/GSMTL30/GSMTL40) to accurately cut the carrier tapes. Precision cutting ensures perfect fit and alignment.
  • Preparing the Splice Tape: Remove the release liner to expose the adhesive side, ensuring a secure bond between tapes.
  • Aligning the Carrier Tapes: Align the cut carrier tapes (cover tape down) with the placement guide provided.
  • Joining the Carrier Tapes: Place both ends of the joining carrier tapes onto the first strip of splice tape, ensuring correct alignment to prevent misfeeds.
  • Securing the Splice: Fold over the second strip of splice tape to the underside of the carrier tape and press firmly for a stable splice.
  • Finalizing the Splice: Remove and discard the clear plastic cover and guide to complete the splice, readying the tapes for assembly.
