Let's start with the most fundamental aspects - cleaning the suction nozzle and the visual lens.

Despite its small size, the suction nozzle is the "first person responsible" for the accuracy of the mounting. If there is dust, tin or flux residue on the suction nozzle, it is common for it not to suck steadily or stick accurately. If the lens is blocked or blurred, image recognition will directly deviate, and the consequences will be even more serious.

• The suction nozzle should be cleaned with a dedicated suction nozzle cleaning solution and ultrasonic waves before the end of each workday.
• The lens should be wiped gently with lens paper once a week. Do not wipe it with your hands.
• The air source moisture filter should be drained regularly to maintain a dry environment.

Although this step is simple, it can directly extend the lifespan of the suction nozzle and lens by at least 30% or more.

Feida is one of the components that are most vulnerable to damage from "violent operation".

Many people are in a hurry to load the material tape and directly force it by pressing and pulling. Over time, the springs and puller gears will wear out severely and are prone to material jamming and error reporting.

• When disassembling and assembling Feida, handle it gently and do not shake it.
• The position of the feeding port must be aligned accurately; otherwise, it is very easy to get scratched.
• After each wire change, check whether the feeder returns to its original position normally and if there is any residual material or glue.

Tip: A Feida can easily cost over a thousand yuan. Being careful can really save you a lot of money.

Hanwha's surface mount technology (SMT) machines have quite high requirements for the air source, especially for nozzle drive, feeder cylinders, and the up and down movement parts, all of which rely on the pneumatic system.

However, in some factories, the gas supply is unstable, fluctuating up and down, which can easily lead to:

• The suction nozzle does not move smoothly. Over time, the cylinder will have problems.
• If the feeding is delayed by half a beat, the Feida will break down directly due to excessive force.
• The frequency of the vibrator is unstable, and the motor wears out quickly due to long-term impact.

• The air pressure is stable at 0.5 to 0.6MPa.
• Install a voltage stabilizer and a filter on the air compression system.
• Regularly clean the oil, water and impurities inside the air pipe.

A small adjustment of the air source can make the entire machine run more smoothly, and the lifespan of the components will naturally be greatly extended.

You may not believe it, but if the mounting height is set incorrectly, the suction nozzle will "bump" onto the PCB board. Repeating this thousands of times every day, it would be strange if it didn't break.

Or, if the feeding delay of the feeder is not properly set, the feeding will not be in place, causing the suction nozzle to "go empty". These are all things that are invisible to the naked eye but can really damage the machine.

Therefore, correct software Settings are actually a kind of "protective shield" that extends the lifespan of accessories.

• Each time new materials or new PCBS are replaced, the mounting height is reset.
• The feeding time and suction delay Settings should not be copied randomly. They should be based on the actual measurement of the material.
• Back up the parameter configuration once a week to prevent random adjustments after Settings are lost.

Sometimes, when accessories suddenly break down, there are actually "early signs".

For instance, the suction nozzle returns to its original position slowly, the spring tension of the feida decreases, and the lens recognition starts to give false alarms... But because it was not checked in time, it was used continuously until it completely broke down, and then the problem was discovered.

• Establish a checklist to check the operation of the suction nozzle, feeder and track every week.
• Conduct a functional test on core components such as the main shaft, motor, and cylinder once a month.
• Set up "lifespan labels", such as how long a certain suction nozzle has been used and the number of cycles of the feeder.

Even if damage cannot be completely avoided in this way, preparations and replacements can be made in advance, thus not delaying production.
